In my last blog post I said I had decided on my next step. It’s going to be in the form of a 28 day trial of Intention Manifestation. I’ve read a lot about the Law of Attraction and how to manifest your intentions over the last few years but never really applied it with discipline or good results. There’s a lot of theories out there and it can seem a strange and unusual way of getting what you want.
Many instructions on how to use the Law of Attraction and Intention Manifestation to your advantage don’t give enough detail. They say something like: Focus on what you want, imagine you already have it without getting attached to the outcome and it will manifest in your reality.
To me that isn’t the whole picture. It’s like telling someone that all they have to do to create a masterpiece is imagine what they want to paint, then apply paint to canvas. Yes, at its most basic level it is true, but what the new artist needs to learn is the different techniques to apply paint to get different desired results. “Applying paint”, is the overall description of what needs to be done – it doesn’t tell a beginner the steps they need to take to get the image of what is in their head into their physical reality.
A lot of people get stuck at each stage of the description above. Focusing on what you want isn’t always easy, it’s much easier to think about what you don’t want. Visualisation and affirmation are often the tools offered to this focusing step – but without the understanding that the pictures or words you use are there to help you connect with the energetic state you want. There’s often no help for people who are saying their affirmation, but have huge limiting beliefs in the way of believing that they deserve what they want.
The ‘imagine you already have what you want’ part of intention manfiestation because they don’t know how to imagine having something they don’t have. I’ve seen a lot of people get really stuck at this part because they don’t have the tools to put themselves into feeling. Also, how do you focus on what you want without getting attached to the outcome? It’s a tricky feat to pull off!
However I’ve found what I want in a new course about manifesting money. The reason this course focuses on money is because it is a bottom line amount. Either it shows up in your bank account, or it doesn’t. It’s measurable unlike wanting to ‘feel happier’, or ‘enjoy work more’ which is hard to define. You either the get result and know you’ve got the result, or you don’t and need to change your technique.
This particular course focuses on changing the energy around you at the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels to help you align with your intention. You don’t just sit around visualising, you also have to take action. There are two different types of action that you can take, strategic and linear and the course helps you identify what those are. You are also supported through the initial stages where you might be experiencing dissonance, that is where initially anything that doesn’t align with you intention shows up and needs to be dealt with. It’s good to be given an understanding and practical tips to get you through what might be a rocky time. The issue of attachment is addressed too.
One thing the course doesn’t address is dealing with limiting beliefs. I don’t know if that is going to be an issue or not. I have the tools to address anything that comes up, so I’m not worried if it does and I don’t know at this point if I will need them. I’m happy to try out the perspective of the person who wrote the course for 28 days that addressing limiting beliefs in the unconscious isn’t necessary for successful manifestations. The only way I will know for sure if that works for me is by my own personal experience.
I’m on day 3 of my 28 day trial. I’ll post my experience and results as I go along although I won’t blog every day about it, just the highlights. My plan is to spend 15 minutes a day focusing on this process, although at any point in the day when I remember I will tune into the feelings / energetic qualities I want to manifest. So far I have set my intention and done work to shift the energy at spiritual, mental and emotional levels and now I have to focus on strategic action in the physical.
I’ll post the details of the course at the end of my 28 trial with my results.
My reason for doing this is to increase my confidence in my manifesting abilities. I’ve always been a bit haphazard in my approach and more often than not focused on what I don’t want. What I like about this approach is that there is a simple task to do each day to keep me focused. Improved confidence in my manifesting abilities will lead to increase self-confidence over all. After all, knowing I could create whatever I truly want into my life with predictable results can only result in more self-confidence and joy.It makes the world a wonderfully exciting place to life.
I don’t know what my results will be. Right now, I can’t see how what I want will manifest – but I’m open to trying out this perspective and these new ideas and really experience them for myself. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
See you on the other side
